The Electric Masonry Saw is ideal for cutting masonry and natural stone products such as slate, marble, limestone or brick. It is supplied with a 350 mm diamond cutting blade. There are various blades available suitable for glazed ceramic, porcelain, quarry, slate, natural stone, cement tiles or clay brick. The cutter incorporates a sliding table to allow for easy precise cutting and a water container with water pump for blade cooling.

Operating Instructions

• Pre-Start Inspection

Prior to beginning work, a pre-start inspection of the saw should be performed.

1. Ensure the ON/OFF Switch is in the OFF position
2. Verify the Movable Cutting Table moves freely
3. Inspect the Diamond Blade for damage – verify the blade is correct for the material being cut

• Before powering or starting, check for damage that could prevent this equipment from a proper operation or performing it’s intended function. Check for binding and alignment of moving parts. Check for damaged,
  broken, or missing parts.
• If using an extension power cord, made sure, the length and wire gauge correspond to the requirements.

An extension power cord that is too small in wire gauge (diameter), or too long in length, will cause the motor to overheat and could cause premature failure.

• Set Cutting Depth:

When loosening the Cutting Head Adjusting Knob, the Cutting Head will pivot down unless held.

1. Loosen Cutting Head Adjusting Knob
2. Set cutting depth approximately 1/4 to 1/2 inch below the surface of the Movable Cutting Table
3. Ensure the Adjusting Knob is tight

• Fill the water bay with water.
• Cutting Straight Edges:

DO NOT FORCE THE TOOL. It will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.

1. Place the tile against the Ruler/Stop and Cutting Guide
2. Turn the motor ON
3. Verify proper cooling flow on both sides of the blade
4. Perform the cut
5. Turn the motor OFF when work is complete

Eye Protection
All round protection: grade 1 goggles
Less hazardous work: grade 2 spectacles

Ear Defenders
Protection against high noise levels. Earplugs are suitable for short-term work.

Safety Footwear
Wear safety footwear for toe protection.

Protective Gloves
Gauntlets, PVC, cotton or rigger gloves for hand protection.
