The Compact Standard VIP Trailer Toilet Unit is the toilet of choice in the rental, film and events industries as it provides comfort and simplicity. The unit has two cubicles, each containing a flushable toilet, hands washing basin, soap-, towel-and toilet paper dispensers, a mirror and lighting. Floors are covered with a top quality vinyl and skirting to finish it off. The toilets work on a recycle system. Waste flushes into two tanks below the floor. In the tanks, fluids are separated from solids, filtered and then pumped back to the cisterns to be used again. Fresh water is stored in an overhead tank and fed to the basins by gravity. The waster water flow is run bya12V pump powered by a 96Ahhigh cycle battery. The battery is charged via a solar panel or a battery charger which in turn is powered by a 220V power supply. The unit is also fitted with12Vinternaland external lights.

Cleaning and Maintenance Information
- The most important element of this system is the batteries on which it runs. Each unit is supplied a 100 Ah deep cycle battery. These batteries should be sufficiently charged at all times, but care should be taken that batteries are not overcharged. CHARGERS SHOULD ONLY BE LEFT ON UNTIL THE 100% LEVEL OR ON AMP METER IS REACHED ANDTHEN SWITCHED OFF. Ignoring this can lead to overcharging and will reduce battery life. At functions where the units will be standing for any length of time and power is available, the units can be plugged in. The 220V charging point is in the front service hatch. Charger should be switched on. IT IS ADVISED THAT A BATTERY ACID TESTER BE USED BY THE OPERATOR TODETERMINETHE LEVEL OF CHARGE. BATTERIES SHOULD NOT BE CHARGED IF INDICATOR OFTESTER IS ON GREEN OR HIGH IN THE WHITE.
- Tanks are simply emptied by gravity into the municipal system or septic tank. Two 80mm (3”) ball valves, quick coupling fittings and hoses make it possible to service the unit without any contact with the waste.
- Make sure the tanks are cleaned out and all valves closed. Experience will learn how to clean the tanks, either by dumping directly in a drain or by pumping, both are effective. Refilling and flushing the whole system with clean water a second time is advised. Inside of tanks can be inspected through valves, use a torch.
- Clean the big blue filters by taking apart and rinsing the filter element under running water. Care should betaken not to loose the seal on opening the big blue filter. Care should be taken when filter and pipes are putback in service hatch, do not twist or kink pipes.
- Fill tanks, at a reasonable slow rate, to required minimum level on side, filling is done through the toilets. Ad chemicals only when operating level is reached, 3L to 5L of concentrate, to water tanks through the toilet and follow with bucket of water. This system has two tanks in the base of trailer and one tank needs to over flow into next tank, care should be taken not to overfill initially. It is advised that filling is interrupted halfway to allow levelling of water levels in tanks and then resumed.
- Fill freshwater tank through quick fit Gardena fitting in front service hatch to max level as indicated on tanks or overflow from roof.
- Fill soap dispensers. Keys are supplied.
- Fill toilet roll holders. Keys are supplied.
- Check towel roll holders and replace rolls if necessary. Keys are supplied.
- Switch on systems at switches in cupboard and check that toilets flush and pumps switch off when full. Any toilet leaking water into the system will cause the pumps to run and deplete the batteries. ATTEND TO ANYLEAKS OR DRIPSIMMEDIATELY. After the initial start-up witch takes 2 or 3 minutes the toilet pump should not run longer than±60seconds before switching of automatically. It is normal for the pump to come on occasionally for a couple of seconds every once in a while. System is to be switched off and all water flushed from toilets before traveling.
- See that interior lights work and are switched off.
- Switch system off and flush toilets till no more water runs off.
- Make sure all interior and exterior surfaces are clean and dried off. Do not use abrasive cleaning on panels.
